Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with doctoral training in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. I work with children, teens, and families, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. I specialize in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and problematic sexual behaviors. I believe meaningful, lasting change is strongest when parents and caregivers are actively involved in the process.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, supportive, and practical, while grounded in treatments that have been shown to work. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), tailoring treatment to each child and family. I have advanced training in PCIT, including certification as a Within-Agency Trainer, as well as PCIT for Selective Mutism and CBT for Problematic Sexual Behaviors–School Age Program. I view parents and caregivers as important partners in therapy and work collaboratively with families to build skills that can create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I focus on getting to know your child and family, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying your goals. I create a welcoming, supportive environment where children and caregivers can feel heard and understood. We’ll begin developing a plan for treatment that fits your family and focuses on practical, meaningful steps toward helping your child heal, grow, and thrive.
