Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Hannah Mira and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD).

I specialize in working with people who are healing from childhood or family of origin trauma, are exploring or escaping dysfunctional family systems, or are recovering from religious abuse or are in the process of deconstructing. As someone who didn't discover their identity as an autistic person or a member of the LGBTQIA2+ community until later in life, I enjoy working with and supporting clients in both of these communities.

I believe it is my privilege and honor as a therapist to create safe spaces for people to heal from the individuals and systems that have harmed them. My approach is trauma-informed as well as neurodivergent and intersectional identity affirming. I believe that the genuine compassion, co-regulation and safety that can be found in a therapist and client relationship is one of the most powerful and supportive healing spaces.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and authentic. I integrate Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how past experiences shape present-day patterns while developing healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. I balance compassion with gentle, honest feedback, creating a space where clients feel both supported and challenged to grow. I also believe therapy doesn't have to feel overly formal—humor, curiosity, and genuine connection are important parts of the healing process. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build lasting resilience, and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we're a good fit. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and discuss what you're hoping to gain from the process. I'll also answer any questions you have about my approach so you know what to expect moving forward. There's no pressure to share everything at once—we'll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of what our work together could look like.
