Great to meet you!

I’m an experienced licensed clinical social worker with a direct, inquisitive approach and a tendency to ask the harder questions.

I specialize in crisis intervention, problem-solving, and solution-focused approaches aimed at addressing challenges and creating change. I pair thoughtful questions with honest feedback to support you in developing the tools and perspective needed to face challenges.

I seek to understand how you see your life and what has shaped you, while also encouraging self-sufficiency in noticing and addressing patterns that may be getting in the way of what you want.

My approach to therapy

You can expect me to listen closely, question assumptions, and help you explore what might need to change. We’ll make room for self-compassion, grace, and accountability, working at a pace we establish together.

My goal is to help you understand yourself more clearly and use that understanding to recognize patterns, implement the changes you desire, and build toward long-term self-sufficiency.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll begin getting to know each other and establishing a direction for our work.

  1. Start with your perspective. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, what feels most pressing, and what you want to be different.
  2. Understand the context. I’ll ask about what has shaped you, how you’ve handled challenges, and the strengths and tools you already bring.
  3. Explore patterns. We’ll begin noticing what may be keeping you stuck. You can expect direct questions, encouragement, honest feedback, and identification of strengths. I always leave room for self-compassion and grace.
  4. Clarify your goals. We’ll explore what meaningful change would look like in your everyday life and what greater self-sufficiency means to you.
  5. Establish how we’ll work together. We’ll discuss expectations, address any questions, and establish a pace to work towards your goal together. We’ll identify an initial, manageable focus. There should be no expectation that we’ll have everything figured out in one session, but I hope you’ll be happy you took this initial step.

I look forward to meeting with you!
