Great to meet you!

Hello, Welcome! My name is Hannah and I am a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master's in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Equine Studies with an emphasis in Equine Facilitated Mental Health from Asbury University. I have 6 years of experience in crisis counseling, trauma, anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention, including work in Christian counseling and partial hospitalization settings. As a Christian counselor, I'm glad to integrate prayer and Scripture into sessions for clients who want that — always led by you and never assumed.

My approach to therapy

I believe that behavior is a language that expresses what is going on inside an individual. I want to help client see the connection between their inside world (emotions, values, thoughts, and beliefs) and how that impacts their outside world ( behaviors, relationships, work etc). My main counseling approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients understand the interaction between beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. For clients who want it, I'm also glad to weave in a faith-based lens alongside CBT.

What you can expect from me

I want each one of my clients to feel safe, seen, and heard as well as challenged to change the area of their life that is holding them back. I want clients to leave my office realizing that they are capable and able to overcome the challenges that they are facing. I want my clients to leave each session feeling like they know themselves better and that their relationship with themselves is improving
