Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Hannah. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in biology in 2020 and my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022. Since then, I've worked with individuals, groups, couples, adolescents, and families across diverse clinical settings. These settings have included residential, partial hospitalization, community mental health, and outpatient-based settings.

My specialty areas include supporting clients through life transitions, complex and relational trauma recovery, and navigating the challenges of chronic health conditions. I also have experience working with anxiety, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, mood disorders, depression, adjustment to life changes, and PTSD.

Some of the concerns I particularly focus on include chronic stress, major life changes, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem, identity development, grief, childhood trauma, and LGBTQ+ experiences.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, visiting national parks, reading research or philosophy (I'm learning), and doing most anything creative or musical.

My approach to therapy

All identities are welcome in my office. I believe meaningful growth begins when you feel safe enough to discover, explore, and be cared for without fear of judgment. I recognize you as the expert on your lived experience, and we'll shape our work together around your needs as they change. My goal is to meet you where you are and move with you at your own pace. That can include gentle challenges along the way, curiosity about your lived experience, and a deep appreciation for your humanness.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on psychodynamic and trauma theories alongside evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I enjoy incorporating psychoeducation, practical strategies, and experiential approaches for self-exploration into our work. Whether you're looking for relief, understanding, connection, or something you haven't quite found the words for yet, we can figure out what that looks like together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get comfortable and make sure you're feeling safe. I may have some questions or forms to help me better understand your needs. We'll take time to explore what brings you to therapy and begin thinking about what you'd like from our work together. You're always welcome to ask questions, share your preferences, or let me know what would help you feel more comfortable. I believe trust is built over time, and there's no expectation that you share more than you're ready to. You get to show up with your strengths, experiences, hardships, and everything that makes you who you are. I'll bring my clinical training, knowledge, compassion, and care!
