Great to meet you!

I’m Hannah Strege, MSW, LCSW, and the owner of Wonderfully Made Counseling, PLLC, where I provide compassionate, individualized therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. I earned my Master of Social Work from Baylor University and have experience providing behavioral health care within pediatric primary care.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, adoption, embryo adoption, and concerns related to IVF and assisted reproduction. I have a particular passion for supporting adoptees, adoptive families, and individuals navigating the complex emotions, relationships, identity questions, and experiences that can accompany adoption and reproductive technologies.

I am also the Founder and CEO of Wonderfully Made Adoption Services International, a nonprofit dedicated to adoption education, advocacy, consultation, and support. My nonprofit work and clinical practice are separate, but both reflect my commitment to approaching adoption and family formation with compassion, ethical consideration, and a child centered perspective.

I believe every person has inherent dignity and a story worthy of being heard. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where clients feel genuinely known, respected, and supported as they pursue healing and meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

  1. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma informed, and individualized to each client. Through Wonderfully Made Counseling, PLLC, I strive to create a space where you can show up authentically without feeling pressured to have everything figured out. I draw from evidence based approaches while recognizing that no single method fits every person. Together, we will identify your goals, explore the experiences and patterns affecting you, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change. When working with children and families, I use a developmentally appropriate and child centered approach that incorporates play, creativity, emotional regulation, and caregiver involvement when clinically appropriate. Across all ages, I value the therapeutic relationship and seek to provide care characterized by empathy, curiosity, respect, and trust.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is primarily about getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to Wonderfully Made Counseling. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or what your goals should be.

We will talk about what you have been experiencing, what is important to you, what you hope might be different, and relevant parts of your story that you feel comfortable sharing. I will also explain what therapy with me looks like, discuss confidentiality and expectations, and answer questions you may have about the process.

Most importantly, our first session gives us an opportunity to determine whether I am the right therapist for you. Therapy is deeply personal, and I want you to feel comfortable, respected, and actively involved in determining what our work together will look like.
