Great to meet you!

We all experience moments in life that feel overwhelming or uncertain, but you don’t have to go through them alone. As a licensed clinical psychologist in New York, I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences, develop insight, and build resilience. I believe that no matter your age or background, it’s okay to not be okay—and that seeking support is a sign of strength.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University, and my Master of Science and Doctorate in School Psychology from Fordham University. Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked in a variety of clinical and educational settings—including hospitals, therapeutic day schools, and private practice—providing assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, parents, and adults.

As a clinician, I view each client holistically—beyond their diagnosis—by understanding their values, culture, and life experiences. Growing up, I was taught the importance of reflection and mindfulness, which deeply shaped my belief that growth begins with awareness. I now bring that same philosophy into my practice, helping clients align their actions with their values and find purpose in their challenges.

I am also fluent in Punjabi and Hindi and provide culturally sensitive care for clients from diverse backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe it’s completely normal to face challenges, and my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel understood and empowered to grow.

I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies. I also incorporate creative approaches—such as play, art, and parent-focused interventions—especially when working with children and adolescents.

Together, we’ll explore your experiences, identify obstacles, and build on your strengths to create meaningful change. I view therapy as a partnership that helps you not only manage symptoms but also align your life with your values. My hope is that our work together fosters resilience, insight, and a stronger sense of self.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your experiences, concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I take a collaborative, conversational approach, allowing you to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll start identifying your goals and discuss what therapy might look like moving forward. My hope is that therapy with me feels supportive, empowering, and genuine—a space where you can feel seen, heard, and capable of change. By the end of our session, you’ll have a clearer sense of next steps and how we can work together toward meaningful change.
