Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Harold Gibson, a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps adults work through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I bring a calm, supportive, and practical approach to therapy, with a focus on helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

My path into counseling was a second career, shaped by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to serve people in a more direct and lasting way. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology, a Master of Arts in Leadership Ministries with a concentration in Christian Counseling from Faith International University, and a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Oikodome School of Biblical Studies.

My goal is to walk alongside you as you heal, grow, and move forward. I am so glad you are here today.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed care, and grief counseling to help clients better understand their challenges and build practical tools for change.

Together, we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck, strengthen coping skills, and create a path toward greater stability, clarity, and hope. If you want faith to be part of the process, I can also incorporate Christian counseling into our work in a way that feels supportive and respectful.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brings you to therapy, and identifying what you’d like to change or improve. I’ll ask questions to better understand your concerns, background, and goals, and together we’ll begin creating a treatment plan that feels clear, practical, and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling comfortable, supported, and hopeful about the work ahead.
