Great to meet you!

I have worked in the behavioral health field for more than 30 years, with 20 years of practice as a psychologist. My doctoral degree (James Madison University, 2004) is in Combined-Integrated Counseling, School, and Clinical Psychology. I also hold a MA/EdS in Counseling Psychology. Most of my experience is with children, adolescents, and families. I also have significant experience as a consultant to the various agencies and systems that families encounter when their children are struggling.

My approach to therapy

I tailor my approach to clients depending on the problems they are attempting to address. I lean on my experience, creativity, and sense of humor to clarify these problems and to develop goals.

What you can expect from me

Within a few meetings, we should have a mutually-determined understanding of the purpose and scope of therapy. You should feel encouraged and hopeful about collaborating to make the changes you wish to make.
