Great to meet you!

I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and postpartum depression, and I'm particularly passionate about working with children, teens, young adults, and anyone navigating life transitions. My favorite part of this job is when patients come back visibly brighter and tell me they feel like themselves again and can enjoy the things they used to enjoy.

I pursued nursing specifically to become a PMHNP because I've always been fascinated by how people make choices and how to help them make the best decisions for their mental health. I earned my BSN and DNP with a specialty in psychiatric-mental health from the University of Florida and have worked with patients in multiple states from all walks of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and respectful—I act as a guide rather than telling you what to do. I believe in keeping medication to a minimum while ensuring optimal outcomes, and I always investigate potential medical causes through lab work and incorporate natural remedies when appropriate. I'm passionate about the connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and mental health, so I work particularly well with clients who are open to making lifestyle changes alongside medication management. I highly recommend concurrent therapy because the evidence is clear—therapy combined with medication produces the best outcomes. I'll be honest and direct with you if a treatment isn't appropriate, but I'll always respect the choices you make.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment will be 45-60 minutes where we'll complete comprehensive questionnaires together and I'll take time to really understand your story, symptoms, and goals. We'll discuss your medical history, review any relevant lab work, explore lifestyle factors impacting your mental health, and talk about treatment options including medication if appropriate, lifestyle changes, and why I recommend working with a therapist alongside our medication management. Follow-up appointments are typically 15-30 minutes depending on your needs, and my goal is for us to work together so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.
