Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Haven Ohly, a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S). I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve spent years trying to manage everything on your own. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.

I work with adults navigating ADHD, trauma, substance use, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. You may feel overwhelmed, struggle with consistency, repeat patterns you don’t understand, or find yourself carrying the weight of past experiences. Together, we can work toward understanding these challenges and developing practical tools for change.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I draw from EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. I am fully trained in EMDR and have more than 20 years of clinical experience. Our sessions may focus on processing difficult experiences, recognizing unhelpful patterns, strengthening coping skills, and building healthier relationships.

I believe people are more than their diagnoses or past experiences. Therapy should build on your strengths, respect your values, and move at a pace that feels manageable. You don’t need to have all the answers to get started. We’ll work together to help you better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, drawing from EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. In our sessions, we may explore how past experiences influence present reactions, identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills for managing ADHD, relationships, and recovery. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, I tailor our work to your needs, strengths, and goals. I believe therapy should help you better understand yourself, feel supported without judgment, and make meaningful changes that carry into everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a sense of safety and trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope might change. You don’t need to have everything figured out or share painful experiences before you’re ready. My approach is trauma-informed, which means we’ll move at a pace that respects your comfort, boundaries, and readiness. I’ll listen without judgment, help you identify your strengths, and begin exploring how we can work together toward your goals. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about what’s possible. This is your space, and we’ll take it one step at a time.
