Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Hayden Center. For almost 40 years I've worked with individuals, groups, and families moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, panic, stress, and substance use. I believe everyone goes through difficult times, and my passion is helping people learn to thrive, not just survive. I bring a compassionate, steady presence to the hard seasons of life. I'd be honored to walk through this one with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to use evidence-based approaches that have been shown to help others in both clinical and research settings. I combine this approach with a desire to truly understand your situation, your struggles, and your life. I work collaboratively with clients to process past trauma, identify current issues, and take steps to improve life and bring satisfaction. It is important that we have a genuine interaction with a real human who understands that life is difficult and life is complex.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, a client can expect that I will spend time getting to know them, what they are struggling with, and what they would like to get out of therapy. It is important to start to identify where we want to go together as a therapy team so that we can have a productive and fulfilling process. I always want to listen first and really get to know the client in the first session as we set important goals for our work together.
