Great to meet you!

I am a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in both primary care and behavioral health. My experience includes internal medicine, federally qualified health centers, retail health, post-anesthesia nursing, and psychiatric clinical training, which has shaped my understanding of how physical health, emotional wellness, family systems, and life stressors are deeply connected.

I provide care for individuals experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, life transitions, family conflict, and challenges related to chronic medical conditions. I am especially passionate about supporting underserved communities and helping clients feel seen, respected, and empowered in their care. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can openly discuss their concerns and work toward meaningful, realistic goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered. I believe every client deserves a thorough assessment, clear communication, and a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs, values, culture, and goals. I draw from my background in primary care and psychiatry to look at the whole person, not just a diagnosis or symptom.

I value collaboration and shared decision-making. I work with clients to understand their symptoms, strengths, relationships, lifestyle, medical history, and current stressors so we can develop a care plan that feels practical and supportive. When appropriate, I incorporate psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy principles, medication management, coping skills, and wellness-focused strategies to support long-term emotional and physical well-being.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental conversation focused on getting to know them as a whole person. We will discuss current concerns, symptoms, mental health history, medical background, medications, family and social history, stressors, strengths, and goals for treatment.

The first visit is also a time for clients to ask questions, share what has or has not worked in the past, and discuss what they hope to gain from care. Together, we will begin creating a personalized treatment plan, which may include therapy-focused strategies, medication options when appropriate, lifestyle considerations, and follow-up goals. My priority is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and supported with a clear next step.
