Hazel Sayco

Welcome, My name is Hazel and I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with six years of nursing experience across both medical and psychiatric settings. I work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, schizophrenia and psychosis, and substance use disorders, and I’m proud to provide LGBTQ+ affirming care. I was born in the Philippines, where mental health was often disregarded or something people were expected to keep to themselves, and that experience shaped my passion for helping break cycles of intergenerational trauma and silence around mental health. I want you to feel safe being your whole self, heard without judgment, and supported in creating a healthier path forward.

I believe mental health care should be a partnership, not something that happens to you. I take time to understand your story, culture, experiences, strengths, and what you want your life to look like, not just your symptoms. My approach is compassionate, LGBTQ+ affirming, and individualized, with the goal of helping you understand yourself while finding treatment that genuinely fits your life. I’m especially passionate about breaking the cycle of shame and silence around mental health and creating a space where difficult experiences can be talked about openly.

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to tell your story in your own words. We’ll talk about what brought you in, your experiences and mental health history, what you’ve tried before, and what you hope will change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood changes, psychosis, or substance use, you’ll have space to be honest without judgment. Together, we’ll identify a path forward that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with who you are.
