Great to meet you!

I’m Heather Allen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My practice is rooted in empathy, respect, and compassion, and I specialize in trauma-informed care. I use evidence-based modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients develop coping strategies, process past experiences, and align their actions with their values.

With a background in outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and therapy within the criminal justice system, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I’m passionate about supporting individuals dealing with PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, and the impact of trauma on relationships and parenting. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can heal, grow, and build resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. I blend evidence-based modalities like ACT, DBT, and IFS to help you develop coping strategies, process past experiences, and align your actions with your values. I also incorporate strength-based techniques to highlight your existing strengths and empower you to overcome challenges.

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to foster growth, healing, and self-discovery. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, ensuring that your voice is heard and your experiences are honored. Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming emotions, relationship challenges, or the impact of trauma, I’ll walk alongside you with empathy, expertise, and unwavering support.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect to gain clarity, coping skills, and a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we’ll work on identifying patterns, processing past experiences, and developing tools to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. My goal is to help you feel more empowered, resilient, and aligned with your values.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationship issues, or life transitions, I’ll provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions and work toward the future you envision. You’ll leave sessions with practical strategies, a renewed sense of hope, and the confidence to create meaningful change in your life.
