Great to meet you!

I am a double board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of nursing experience and a background caring for patients across a variety of healthcare settings. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing and have experience providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. My clinical experience includes working with children, adults, and older adults with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. I believe in treating the whole person and taking the time to understand each client’s unique experiences, goals, and concerns. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and focused on understanding the individual behind the diagnosis. I take the time to listen to my clients and learn about their concerns, experiences, goals, and what they hope to achieve through treatment. Together, we develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs and may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches. I believe clients should feel comfortable asking questions and participating in decisions about their care. My goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship while providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free environment where we take time to get to know one another. We will discuss their current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, and factors that may be affecting their overall well-being. I will also listen to what they hope to accomplish through treatment and work with them to identify meaningful goals. By the end of the session, we will have a better understanding of their needs and begin developing a collaborative treatment plan together.
