Heather graduated from CSUN with a Masters in Social Work. She worked as a Medical Social Worker in a hospital setting for four years prior to achieving her ultimate goal of becoming licensed, and transitioning to private practice to work as a therapist full-time. Since then, she has been focused on continuing her education in therapeutic modalities and working with clients with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, grief, and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

Heather is a person centered therapist with a warm, interactive, and supportive style. Her approach is solution focused and strengths based while utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness with a holistic and integrative approach. Heather is a firm believer in the power of positive self talk and the importance of befriending our inner critic.

What you can expect from me

Heather is passionate about working with adults that are focused on healing from the past, and are on a journey to grow self love, and a positive self-image with focus on changing self talk from negative to positive. She strives to create a space where her clients feel safe and respected and are able to experience therapy as positive and helpful.
