Great to meet you!

I help adults in Texas who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, stress, burnout, life transitions, and feeling emotionally stuck. Many of my clients are high-functioning and dependable on the outside, but inside they feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, on edge, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with experience helping clients understand how past experiences, trauma, stress, and relationship patterns continue to affect their thoughts, emotions, and daily life. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-informed therapy, and practical coping skills.

My style is warm, direct, supportive, and down-to-earth. I want therapy to feel useful, honest, and approachable, not stiff or intimidating. I help clients identify what is keeping them stuck, build healthier coping skills, and begin creating real, lasting change.

As a veteran, I also understand the impact of high-stress environments, major life transitions, and the pressure to keep going even when you are struggling. I enjoy working with veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, professionals, parents, and adults who are ready to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and trauma-informed. I help clients understand what is happening beneath the surface while also giving them real tools they can use outside of session.

Some sessions focus on coping skills for anxiety, panic, stress, emotional overwhelm, or burnout. Other sessions go deeper into trauma, PTSD, childhood experiences, relationship patterns, self-worth, grief, or unresolved experiences that continue to affect daily life.

I use CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, grounding skills, and solution-focused strategies to help clients:

• Reduce anxiety and mental overload • Process trauma at a manageable pace • Understand triggers and emotional reactions • Build healthier boundaries and relationships • Break patterns that keep them feeling stuck • Feel more confident, calm, and in control

I believe therapy should feel useful, honest, and supportive. I will meet you where you are, but I will also help you move forward. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood while also gaining the tools and insight needed to make lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about what you are currently struggling with, what has been feeling overwhelming, and what you hope will feel different.

I will ask questions about your symptoms, stressors, history, relationships, coping skills, and goals for therapy. This may include anxiety, trauma, PTSD symptoms, burnout, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that keep showing up in your life. You do not have to share everything all at once. We will move at a pace that feels manageable.

My goal in the first session is to help you feel heard, supported, and not judged. We will also begin identifying what you need most right now, whether that is coping tools, emotional support, trauma processing, clarity, boundaries, or a plan for moving forward.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a better sense of how therapy with me works, what we may focus on together, and some practical next steps to help you start feeling more grounded and in control.
