Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Dr. Heather Gillman, a licensed psychologist in New York with 20 years of professional experience and training. Being part of healing what feels like hopeless challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, & bipolar disorder is remarkable. I am also adept with experience working with the community of LGBTIQ+. I am not the type of psychologist that sits quietly throughout the session. I will engage and provide interpretations with you so that you can experience a more fulfilling life. If you feel stuck or empty, we can shift that entire experience. Regarding my schedule, I can potentially open up additional days and times. For optimal scheduling consistency, arrange several appointments in a row.

My approach to therapy

I blend techniques that are from psychodynamic, interpersonal, and existential theories. I invite feedback and tailor my approach to you specifically.

What you can expect from me

I am direct and kind. The environment is warm and welcoming because we both can be our authentic selves.
