Great to meet you!

My name is Heather Gottier (she/her/hers) and I have worked with youth in the Boston area for the last 15 years.

I received a BS from Northeastern University and a Ed.M & C.A.S. in School Counseling from Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Since graduating I have been a School Adjustment Counselor in a Boston public charter middle school and a Cambridge independent secondary school. In March of 2024 I received my LMHC.

I currently live in Boston with my partner and two sons. When I am not working I enjoy going to the park with my kids, riding my bike and traveling.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to ensure that there are spaces for adolescents and teenagers to ask questions and receive support on topics or situations they may not feel comfortable bringing somewhere else.

In sessions I primarily use Solutions-Based, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral therapies.

What you can expect from me

In your first session you can expect me to start earning your trust by taking time to get to know you. I will ask you about your strengths and areas for growth. In order to build rapport I also welcome questions you have about me.
