My primary therapeutic orientation is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), an evidence based treatment for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, angry outbursts, ADHD, PTSD & Borderline Personality Disorder. I completed intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech and served as the DBT Adolescent Group Lead in a NYS OMH clinic. I currently offer formal weekly DBT skills training on a 1:1 basis along with individual DBT therapy sessions to assist with application of skills outside of training sessions.
In addition to DBT, I have extensive training and experience treating PTSD using trauma informed techniques. I completed foundational training in Internal Family Systems and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), evidence based treatments for PTSD, panic disorders & anxiety. In addition I serve as a consultant for Harpur's Ferry, Binghamton University's student run Ambulance Corps, conducting critical incident stress debriefings on an as needed basis and offering individual therapy for crew members responding to a wide range of traumatic calls.
