Great to meet you!

I am a dual credentialed licensed psychotherapist working as both a mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist.

I enjoy working with those who have dealt with trauma and abuse who are looking to move beyond their painful histories and claim joy and satisfaction in their lives. I specialize in treating PTSD and Complex PTSD including psychological and emotional abuse as well as physical and sexual trauma.

We will work together using a variety of evidence-based modalities to help you identify and reclaim your sense of self so you can move beyond your trauma in meaningful and gratifying ways.

I work from a combination of schema, narrative, and collaborative approaches to help my clients move toward personal growth and fulfillment.

My approach to therapy

In sessions, I will help you process your trauma and identify beneficial coping skills and grounding techniques to support you in finding balance and a sense of renewed safety. We will discuss any maladaptive behaviors that are presenting challenges for you and work together to create appropriate interpersonal boundaries so you can move confidently into the next chapter of life.

If appropriate, EMDR is also available for clients who would like to engage in the benefits of this effective and well-regarded therapy approach. As an EMDR-Certified clinician, I can aid clients in fully processing traumatic experiences to help them fully recover and regain their intrinsic sense of value and personal strength.

What you can expect from me

I bring a compassionate, empathetic, warm approach to the therapeutic space. I want clients to feel safe to explore their concerns as makes sense for them. Some clients need to go slowly and build trust and a sense of safety and I encourage them to take their time. Others are ready to proceed more quickly into the work of healing and I can support that preference as well. I feel comfortable going at whatever pace feels right for my clients.
