Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Heather Johnson, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-C, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals achieve mental wellness, emotional balance, and recovery.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that every client’s experience is unique, so treatment should never be one-size-fits-all. I take the time to truly listen, understand your concerns, and work with you to develop a plan that aligns with your goals, values, and lifestyle.

My style is nonjudgmental and supportive. I strive to create a safe space where you feel comfortable being open and honest. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use, I meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting mental health care can feel overwhelming, but your first session doesn’t have to be.

When you meet with me, you can expect a calm, welcoming environment where there is no pressure and no judgment. You don’t need to have the “right words” or everything figured out. I will gently guide the conversation so we can understand what you’ve been experiencing and what kind of support you need.

Together, we’ll talk through what’s been going on, what you’d like to improve, and what a better day-to-day life could look like for you. By the end of the session, you’ll have clarity, a sense of direction, and a plan that feels manageable and tailored to you.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or challenges with substance use, you’ll be met with compassion, respect, and real support from the very first visit.
