Great to meet you!

I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College and have over 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents in various settings. Currently, I am an adjustment counselor at Falmouth High School, supporting students through their social and emotional challenges. Previously, I spent 14 years at a therapeutic middle and high school, focusing on students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I also am a certified child and adolescent mindfulness instructor.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies. I believe that the problem is separate from the person, allowing for growth and learning.

I foster a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences. Through empathy, active listening, and collaboration, I ensure that each individual feels valued and understood, empowering them on their journey toward personal growth.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to gain insights and skills from our sessions, including enhanced self-awareness and practical coping strategies for managing stress and emotional challenges. Our work will facilitate personal growth by exploring values and goals, alongside learning mindfulness techniques to stay grounded and present. Overall, clients will experience a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes healing and fosters lasting change.
