Great to meet you!

I received my MSW degree from the University of Denver in 1997, and I spent several years working in the Denver Metro area providing individual, family, and group counseling for non-profit agencies. This invaluable on-the-job training gave me access to wonderful mentors and supervisors who helped to cultivate my clinical skills. I specialize in working with grief and loss, chronic illness, trauma, anxiety and stress management.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is to use an eclectic range of techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices and more strength-based, humanistic approaches, to help people identify the change(s) they want to make and guide them in ultimately reaching their goals.

Sometimes talk therapy alone is not enough to achieve healing and growth. Another unique aspect of my practice is the use of yoga therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy and EMDR. I believe strengthening the mind/body connection empowers clients to reach their desired outcomes.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, supported, and understood. Together, we'll work to identify patterns, process difficult emotions, and build practical tools for coping, communication and growth. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, self-aware, and aligned with their values.
