Great to meet you!

As a licensed therapist based in South Carolina, I believe that establishing a genuine connection with my clients is essential to effective therapy. Here are some insights about me that I hope will help you get a feel for my approach and experience.

Education and Professional Background:

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, which has equipped me with a solid foundation in various therapeutic modalities. My professional journey includes roles as both a Clinic-Based Therapist and a Clinic Director, where I have gained extensive experience in mental health care. I am also certified in Foundations of Meditation and as a Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor, which enriches my perspective on holistic wellness.

Specific Treatment Areas and Populations Served:

I specialize in helping clients navigate stress and anxiety, parenting challenges, trauma recovery, and coping with life changes. My work often focuses on building a strong self, family challenges, grief, and managing mood disorders. I have experience working with diverse populations, including adults of all ages facing various life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness Therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and together, we can create a personalized plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals. I strive to cultivate a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, clients can expect to gain valuable tools and insights that promote greater self-awareness and resilience. I emphasize practical strategies for coping with stress and anxiety while fostering a deep understanding of your emotional landscape. My clients often leave sessions feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with new skills to navigate their challenges. The goal is to facilitate meaningful progress, helping you move toward the life you desire.

I understand that seeking therapy requires courage, and I am truly honored to be a part of your journey. Together, we can explore your experiences and work toward growth and healing.
