Great to meet you!

My professional journey includes 23 years of experience supporting the emotional well-being of children, adolescents, adults and families. I began as a teacher, moving into school counseling and then furthering my scope as a Licensed Professional Counselor providing mental health intervention and counseling services. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face throughout life's transitions. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, relationships and adjustment, using a compassionate and collaborative approach tailored to each person's unique needs. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to heal, grow, and move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing happens within the context of a safe, trusting relationship. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based, meeting clients where they are while helping them identify practical tools for growth and lasting change. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and trauma-informed practices, while tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs and goals. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, or past trauma, I strive to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make your first session feel comfortable, welcoming, and supportive. During our initial meeting, I'll spend time getting to know you, learning about your concerns, and understanding what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. Together, we'll begin to identify your goals and discuss what healing, growth, or success might look like for you. While every journey is unique, you can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling understood, encouraged, and confident that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
