Great to meet you!

With over 12 years of experience in the field working with adults, children, and couples, I have worked with many different diagnoses, presenting concerns, and family/ relationship systems. My specialty is in trauma services, having extensive background working with children in the DCS system, at-risk populations, victims of sex trafficking, and adults with childhood and adult traumas. I am trained in EMDR therapy, and have been practicing this modality for over 6 years.

My approach to therapy

I like to be very relatable to my clients as I feel it's difficult to be vulnerable with someone that you feel doesn't really get you. In doing so, I do offer a little humor where appropriate to help create an open environment. I am very multi-systemic and always adapt treatment to what you need, taking a flexible solution-focused approach. I take an affirming and understanding approach, however will challenge you in empowering ways to help you reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

I do typically like to assign homework at each session to encourage you to put into practice the skills we discuss in sessions. I will offer you a new perspective to take on distressing situations as well as guidance on how to better navigate through these situations and feel more in control of your life.
