Great to meet you!

I use an eclectic approach based on each individual’s needs and preferred method of learning and desired growth. Although I am a generalist, of special interest to me is providing tailored treatment plans for those struggling with weight, athletic performance, and the behavioral management of ADHD symptoms in adulthood. Postpartum depression/anxiety, relationship, and gender issues are also of interest to me. With over two decades of experience, I come to the table with a seasoned approach.

My approach to therapy

I find that remaining flexible in treatment style while combining time-tested methods of treatment, is most effective in creating lasting change that accounts for the needs and complexity of the whole person. Depending on multiple factors, I often utilize behavioral/cognitive-behavioral techniques, while grounded in more insight-oriented approaches (reflection, observing patterns and attachment styles, exploring dreams and symbols).

What you can expect from me

Utilizing tailored behavioral as well as psychodynamic and insight-oriented techniques, I foster growth in a customized format to best fit each individual. There is not a "fits all" approach. In my years of experience, I have found that compassionately uncovering/removing internal obstacles that keep us from fully enjoying love, work, and play is often the ultimate focus of therapy.
