Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Heather and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Substance Use Professional. I have extensive experience working with individuals affected by substance use and mental health concerns. My clinical background includes counseling and supporting marginalized, specialty, and other diverse populations through complex life transitions. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis intervention, life adjustments, and substance use with a focus on providing compassionate, individualized, and trauma-informed care.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that each individual is the expert on their own needs, experiences, and goals. I believe therapy should be accessible and available to everyone, and participating actively in our own healing and growth can be deeply beneficial. As a clinical generalist, I adapt my therapeutic style to each individual. I utilize solution-focused, person-in-environment, holistic, and empowering approaches to help clients recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will begin by exploring what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where you feel safe to share what is important to you. From there, we will work together to identify your goals and allow those goals to guide the direction and pace of our sessions. I will meet you where you are and collaborate with you to determine what approach and tools will best support your needs.
