Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Heather. I became a therapist to help people who are looking for a safe place to explore their past and how it is affecting their present. My background is as an interfaith chaplain and grief counselor. Today I specialize in working with adults who are going through tough transitions and need a little extra support to thrive. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and grief.

My approach to therapy

I am ultimately a client centered therapist. I value my training in psychoanalytic theory as the core of my work, but find value in the skills that DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing offer to bring about change for my clients. I believe that you are the expert in your life and experience and I am here to help you find the insight you need to move forward. I am also taking clients interested in EMDR on a case by case basis.

What you can expect from me

From the start of the therapy process, my goal is to find out your goals and help to develop a plan to tackle them, together. I tend to pose questions that I hope you will take with you throughout your day. My hope is that you will find growth as you gain insight into your self.
