Great to meet you!

I've been a practicing LPC for ten years and have been in mental health for over thirty, with an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology and a Masters in Art Therapy. This means that I may get "nerdy" on you about the way the brain works, and I also am super creative with a hands-on therapy approach. As a LPC, I have predominantly worked with people who have experienced trauma, including domestic violence or the death of a loved one. I am honored to help people resolve past pains that have hindered them.

My approach to therapy

I mostly employ an Emotionally Focused Therapy style in order to provide safety for vulnerability and validatation of my clients. I also often utilize Dialectic Behavior Therapy and Art Therapy techniques.

What you can expect from me

In the initial session, my greatest desire is for us to make a good connection. I want to hear your goals for therapy and learn why you feel that you have thus far been prevented from reaching them. I also leave room for inquiry, answering with transparancy. I believe in a good therapuetic fit, so that it is most important that you feel comfortable about moving forward!
