Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Heba, a bilingual English/Arabic Licensed Professional Counselor and school psychologist who believes therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale not another place where you have to have it all figured out. Life can get messy. Work gets overwhelming, relationships get complicated, family has opinions (sometimes a lot of opinions), and figuring out who you are can feel like a full-time job. You don’t have to navigate all of that alone.

As an Egyptian-American clinician, I value the importance of culture, family, and the experiences that shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. I strive to create a space where you can bring your whole self, including the parts that may not always feel understood elsewhere.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I use approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered therapy to help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, build healthier coping skills, set boundaries, and feel more grounded in their everyday lives. I’m not here to tell you what you should do. I’m here to help you understand yourself well enough to make choices that actually feel like yours.

I especially enjoy working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, relationships, identity, life transitions, cultural and family expectations, and the wonderfully complicated process of figuring yourself out. As a school psychologist, I also bring a strong understanding of neurodiversity, school systems, learning differences, and the ways academic and family stress can affect mental health.

What you can expect from me

Therapy doesn't have to be stiff, intimidating, or filled with clinical jargon. We can do meaningful work while still being human about it. Sometimes that means unpacking a major life issue, sometimes it means learning how to stop overthinking at 2 a.m., and sometimes it means figuring out how to say “no” without writing a five-paragraph explanation afterward. Wherever you are starting from, we can work together to help you feel more confident, connected, and grounded in your life.
