Great to meet you!
Hello there! I was a neurological ICU nurse for 7 years prior to practicing as a psychiatric APN for the past 8 years. I chose psychiatry as my "forever career" as I am not only fascinated by how powerful the human mind and psyche can be, but also because mental health is often under served, unseen, stigmatized, and yet so important to every individual's well being. While I don't believe in a "happy pill," I do believe that psychiatric medications can truly help individuals when necessary and that is what I am here for. I am passionate about having an individualized approach to treating my patients with medication management and helping them to achieve the best quality of life possible. I've worked in inpatient, residential, and various outpatient settings. Areas of passion and focus include: anxiety, depression, bipolar and related mood conditions, trauma, adjustment/major life transitions, perinatal and postpartum.
