Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eighteen years of experience working with adults who've experienced hardships related to mental health, trauma, abuse, negative family dynamics, and substance abuse issues.

I strongly feel that by being empathetic and empowering my clients, they can identify unhealthy thinking patterns and behaviors. We can collaborate and establish strengths and goals and an overall sense of well-being.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Approach, a Solution Focused Approach, as well as a Person-Centered Approach. I believe that these practices can be beneficial in identifying each client's individualized needs as all experiences are unique and valuable.

What you can expect from me

Welcome! I’m really glad you’re here, taking the step to start therapy can sometimes feel daunting or uncomfortable, so my primary goal right now is to ensure this is a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you. We can go entirely at your pace.

I will be covering some house-keeping information such as my role throughout the therapeutic process as well as reviewing confidentiality and consent forms. The core of our time today is focused on you. What brings you to therapy right now? We’ll explore the specific stressors or challenges you're experiencing, as well as what you hope to achieve or change through our work together.

Toward the end of our time, I’ll ask a few questions to gather background context about your personal history to help me understand the bigger picture. We’ll also leave plenty of time for you to ask me anything about the process.
