Great to meet you!

My name is Heidi Dryer and I obtained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2015 but I started practicing in 2012 under supervision. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and I am also certified in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health. I specialize in working with complex trauma.

Healing from complex trauma requires looking at your whole self, not just your symptoms. Complex trauma leaves a lasting blueprint on your mind, body, and nervous system, which is why traditional talk therapy alone often feels like it isn't enough. An integrative health approach addresses this by combining gentle psychological healing with body-based therapies, nutrition, and lifestyle support to help you feel safe in your skin again.

My approach to therapy

How We Hold Space For Your Whole Self In The Therapy Room

  • Believing your body: Validating the physical exhaustion, chronic pain, and tension your body carries from past survival.
  • Slowing down the storm: Creating an unwavering sense of safety to gently soothe a highly sensitive nervous system.
  • Mending your internal rhythm: Using soft, body-based practices to quiet the constant noise of anxiety and hypervigilance.
  • Nourishing your physical essence: Tending to your gut health, sleep, and energy levels to rebuild your physical resilience.
  • Walking alongside you: Offering a deeply collaborative relationship built on patience, respect, and zero pressure.

Your pain is real, but it is not your permanent identity. Together, we will honor the burdens you have carried, gently untangle the knots of the past, and restore a deep, lasting sense of safety to your whole being.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is completely structured around your comfort, safety, and emotional pace. There is no pressure to dive into your past, recount painful stories, or explain everything that has happened to you. Instead, this initial time together is about creating a predictable, gentle space where you can begin to feel what it is like to be truly seen, heard, and protected.

What Your First Session Will Look Like

  • A gentle landing: We begin with a quiet check-in to help you settle into the space.
  • Setting your boundaries: You control exactly how much you share and what we discuss.
  • Exploring the whole picture: We will gently look at how you are currently feeling in both mind and body.
  • No forced storytelling: You never have to relive your trauma to receive deep, compassionate care here.
  • Co-creating a map: We will collaborate on a soft, flexible path forward that honors your unique rhythm.

You are the expert on your own life and your own body. Our first hour together is simply about laying down a foundation of trust, ensuring you leave the room feeling grounded, respected, and entirely in control of your healing journey.
