Great to meet you!

Great to meet you — I’m Heidi Furnish, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently located in Montana, licensed in both Montana and California. I offer telehealth for California clients and both telehealth and in-person sessions for Montana clients. I also speak Spanish.

I have always been passionate about helping others and understanding the "ins and outs" of human behavior. I believe in the power of human connection, the importance of the family unit, and how our life experiences help shape who we are and how we show up in relationships. I want to hear your story — and I would be honored to guide you and accompany you through your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My practice philosophy is HOPE, HEALING, and RESTORATION.

  • HOPE: An optimistic state of mind — expecting a positive outcome.
  • HEALING: The relief of suffering — becoming well again.
  • RESTORATION: Returning to an original state of wholesomeness.

I have a collaborative approach to treatment and use a variety of interventions to better meet the needs of my clients, including a faith-based approach and Christian counseling (if requested).

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained in systemic therapy, meaning I see individual struggles through the lenses of relationships, culture, and environment — not as personal flaws or pathology. I specialize in relational issues, life transitions, depression and anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, PTSD, and crisis intervention. I work with individuals of all ages, but predominantly adults and couples, and I'm certified in the Developmental Model for couples therapy.

I am well-versed in multicultural approaches and have both personal and professional experience with military/veteran families, law enforcement communities, and immigration-related stress.

What you can expect from me

If you work with me, you can expect to feel safe, accepted, and validated. No problem is too small or too big. Together, we will explore your experiences and begin making sense of your emotions, relationships, and patterns from an integrative and wholesome perspective. My goal is for you to begin experiencing more clarity, relief, hope, and alignment with who you are meant to be.

Whether you are seeking support for individual concerns, marriage or relationship challenges, family dynamics, faith-based healing, trauma, or life transitions — you don’t have to go through it alone.

Life is beautiful, but it can be so hard sometimes. You are welcome to reach out for a free consultation so we can see if working together feels right.

"Sometimes it takes more courage to ask for help than to act alone." – Ken Petti
