Great to meet you!

Raising a child or teen who is struggling with anxiety, ADHD, emotional outbursts, behavioral challenges, school stress, low self-esteem, or big emotions can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified School Counselor with 10 years of combined experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across school and clinical settings. I specialize in helping children and teens build emotional regulation, coping skills, confidence, and healthier ways to express themselves while also partnering with parents to support meaningful growth at home and school.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, person-centered, behavioral, and solution-focused approaches. Therapy is tailored to each child or family’s unique needs and focused on practical tools that support lasting growth.

As both a therapist and parent, I understand that supporting a child with emotional, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental needs can feel exhausting and, at times, isolating. My goal is to help children, teens, and families feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence and hope.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each child, teen, parent, or family’s unique needs and goals. I believe therapy should feel supportive, practical, and empowering while creating a safe space to explore emotions, challenges, and growth.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, parents, and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, school-related stress, self-esteem challenges, parenting stress, and neurodevelopmental needs. My goal is to help clients better understand emotions, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and build confidence in themselves and their relationships.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, behavioral strategies, play-based interventions, and solution-focused techniques. Therapy is individualized and developmentally appropriate, helping clients build practical skills that feel meaningful and manageable in everyday life.

I also support parents who may feel overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure of how to best support their child’s emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs, whether or not their child is participating in therapy. Parenting can feel exhausting, especially when traditional approaches do not seem to work. Together, we focus on understanding behaviors, strengthening communication, reducing stress, and building practical strategies that foster greater confidence, connection, and growth within the family.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive connection. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where children, teens, parents, and families feel heard, understood, and safe to share their experiences.

Together, we will explore what is bringing you to therapy, current challenges, strengths, and goals for treatment. For children and teens, I work to help sessions feel engaging, developmentally appropriate, and supportive. Parents can expect collaboration, guidance, and practical strategies to better understand and support their child. By the end of our first session, we will begin identifying goals and creating a plan tailored to your unique needs.
