Dr. Giang earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. Dr. Giang has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience with severe mental illness and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Currently, Dr. Giang serves as a staff psychologist at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, where she works closely with children with cancer, blood disorders, and chronic kidney disease and their families.

My approach to therapy

The therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance to Dr. Giang. She works to provide a warm and safe environment for her clients. Dr. Giang provides evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Her clinical interests include working with clients struggling with depression and/or anxiety.

Goals of therapy include facilitating behavioral change, helping improve one's ability to establish/maintain relationships, and enhancing one's effectiveness and ability to cope with emotional distress.
