Great to meet you!

I am a clinical psychologist, licensed in California since 2001, as well as a psychology professor and a mother of four. In my practice I work with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, confusion, or depression, due to everyday life events or major life challenges. I specialize in working with people with chronic medical problems, especially cancer and chronic pain; parents from the time of trying to get pregnant through parenting school-aged children; and college students or graduate students coping with the stress of school and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I use research-based cognitive-behavioral techniques, to help clients identify their goals, explore obstacles and strengths, and change harmful habits in thinking and behavior. When we change the way we think and behave, we can cope better with life’s challenges and become more attentive to the good in life. If this kind of work sounds like it could help you with the stressors in your life now, please contact me for a free consultation so we can begin a healing journey together.
