Great to meet you!

I received my Bachelors in Psychology and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor for 33 years.

I'm experienced with evaluating and addressing issues with anxiety and depression for all ages. I'm knowledgeable about when it might be appropriate for a medication referral having work closely with a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I'm also experienced with evaluating and working with ADHD.

My approach to therapy

I like meeting the client where they are with what issues they are currently experiencing. I'm solution focused addressing what needs to be discussed and try to find solutions that work for my client. I was trained as a family therapist where the client is part of a larger unit so getting information about other people/family is important if they are part of the issue.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to empower clients so that they feel more confident and competent to handle the stressors in their lives. I prefer to see clients in person especially for the first appointment however, I am open to virtual sessions.
