Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Helena, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 9 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My practice focuses on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and the relationship and family challenges that come with life's bigger transitions. My background spans behavioral health and family systems work, which shapes how I think about you — not just as an individual, but in the context of your relationships and life circumstances. Whatever brings you here, I want this to be a space where you feel met, not judged.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, open-minded, and solution-oriented. I draw on CBT, trauma-focused CBT, and mindfulness-based strategies, tailored to what you need. Sometimes that means working through difficult experiences at a pace that feels safe; sometimes it means building new patterns for managing anxiety, stress, or conflict. With couples and families, I focus on communication and rebuilding connection. With individuals, we move at your pace toward the change you're looking for.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is mostly about getting to know each other. We'll talk through what's bringing you in right now, a bit of your history, and what you're hoping for- no pressure to share everything at once. By the end, you'll have a feel for how I work, and we'll start mapping out what our work together could look like, whether that's individual, couples, or family therapy.
