Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Helena. I'm a queer Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, clinically trained in Art Therapy and certified in Christ-centered counselling. I offer therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals navigating identity, relationships, and emotional healing. I blend creativity, compassion, and cultural understanding to help you reconnect with your inner voice, build confidence, and live more fully.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing begins when you feel safe enough to be fully seen, heard, and creative, tapping into your imagination to envision something new. My approach integrates arts, social change, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote personal growth, emotional healing, and a deeper sense of purpose. I believe in the transformative power of art to unlock emotions, foster self-expression, and facilitate powerful healing processes. Whether through creative expression or reflective conversation, I aim to help you reconnect with your inner voice, increase insight, build skills and move toward a more authentic and self-directed life.

At the heart of my work is a relational, empathetic, and person-centered. I view the therapeutic relationship as a sacred space for repair and transformation, where you are affirmed, supported, and empowered to rewrite old narratives, and thrive.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with more clarity feeling more seen, grounded, and empowered. Together, we build emotional insight, self-trust, and tools for navigating life’s challenges. Through a creative and compassionate process, you’ll begin to understand and reshape old patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward a more authentic, purpose-driven life. Whether we're using art, reflection, or dialogue, each session is designed to help you deepen self-awareness, set attainable goals, and feel more aligned with who you truly are.
