Great to meet you!

I have been working in a therapeutic setting for almost 10 years. I use my strengths of being open-minded, non-judgmental, and wanting the best life for others. We live life often wearing a mask to meet expectations, but may not have the safe environment to allow ourselves to confront our issues in order to become the best versions of ourselves. I strive to provide a space where you can be vulnerable and share your true self. I started working with children and adults with autism doing ABA therapy. I completed my graduate program at University of San Diego. I began my MFT career working in outpatient alcohol and substance addiction programs. Then I was in a private practice, mostly doing couple's therapy and some individual therapy. Currently I work with justice-involved youth in a correctional facility. Due to my diverse background with work experiences, I am specialized to work with a variety of clients on a multitude of issues. I welcome both individual and couple's therapy.

My approach to therapy

I work with unconditional positive regard. You never have to worry about being judged or viewed in a negative way by me. Your goals will be the focus of treatment and my plan is to help guide you to find the solutions or coping skills to accomplish these. I have found diving into your history and childhood to be essential in order to find the wounds that are impacting our present; however, I can also maintain a solution-focused perspective if you prefer to stay present and future focused.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be about learning each other. I will ask you what motivates you to begin therapy now and what the presenting problem is. I'd like to know about any past attempts at therapy so I can learn how to support you best.
