Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Liz. I’m a bilingual therapist, and I feel most authentic when I can move naturally between both languages. I’m a Texan through and through, with plenty of Tex Mex Spanglish to show for it. I connect deeply with clients who are navigating family issues, generational trauma, cultural expectations, and the process of outgrowing beliefs or roles they were taught as children. I enjoy helping clients understand themselves better by exploring attachment patterns, nervous system responses, relationships, and the gap between who they were raised to be and who they are becoming. I have a heart for working with families, children, and parents because I believe it is easier to help children build healthier coping skills early than to wait until they are struggling later in life. I also find deep meaning in working with adults who are healing their inner child, breaking cycles, and learning how to live in a way that feels more honest and whole. My work often supports clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, stress management, parenting concerns, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma informed, and person centered. This means I tailor therapy to your needs, your pace, and what feels most helpful for you. I believe therapy should feel safe and supportive, but also honest enough to help you grow. I may gently encourage you to explore areas you have been avoiding, ask questions that lead to self reflection, point out patterns or contradictions, and help you stay accountable to the changes you want to make. At the same time, I pay attention to when we need to slow down, make space, or simply sit with what is coming up. I welcome open communication and feedback. Therapy is a relationship, and I want us to work together in a way that feels respectful, useful, and real. In our work, we may explore anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, relationship issues, stress management, emotional overwhelm, and cultural or generational wounds through a lens that honors both your story and your strengths.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you. I will take time to learn as much as I can about your background, your childhood, your relationships, your strengths, and the experiences that have shaped you. Show up as you are, say what’s on your mind, share what is in your heart, and trust that I am here to process it with you. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported and unapologetically yourself. We will talk about what has been weighing on you, what you hope will feel different, and what kind of support would be most helpful.
