Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe exploring your experiences, gaining insight, and building practical tools to navigate life's challenges.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, and challenges related to identity and belonging. My approach recognizes that our experiences are shaped not only by our personal histories but also by our families, communities, cultures, and the broader systems we live within.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and have approximately six years of experience providing psychotherapy. In addition to my clinical work, I have over two decades of experience in child welfare, supervision, leadership, and social work education. These experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the many factors that influence mental health and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based. I believe every individual has unique strengths, even when life's challenges make them difficult to recognize. Together, we'll work to better understand the patterns, thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck while developing practical strategies to support meaningful change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. My hope is that you'll leave each session with greater self-awareness, renewed hope, and tools you can use in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and strengths so I can better understand your experiences and develop a treatment approach that fits your needs.

There is no pressure to share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful that healing and positive change are possible.
