Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual English/Spanish Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience supporting people through emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I value creating a space where you can speak openly about difficult experiences without feeling criticized or pressured. I work with adults, teenagers experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, codependency, low self-esteem, major life transitions, and family or cultural stressors. I especially enjoy helping people understand how past experiences may still be influencing their emotions, relationships, and choices today.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should provide more than a place to talk—it should help you understand yourself and create meaningful change. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, behavioral strategies, and interpersonal approaches. Together, we may work on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, understanding emotional triggers, improving boundaries and communication, reducing avoidance, and developing healthier ways to cope. I adapt therapy to the individual rather than expecting every client to fit into one particular method.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. You can expect a relaxed conversation where I will listen carefully, ask questions, and help you identify the concerns that are affecting you most. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. Together, we will clarify your goals and discuss practical first steps toward feeling better and functioning more effectively. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can go from here. Therapy is available in both English and Spanish.
