Great to meet you!

Hilda Dwumfuor's intervention style is prescriptive (based on the client's needs). With her, you will be equipped with tools, coping skills, an understanding of the “WHY” behind what you’ve been through, and a plan on how to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My focus is on race-based trauma, such as colorism, generational trauma, LGBTQIA+, gender-based trauma, cultural trauma and other intersectional cultural issues that BIPOC people face.

What you can expect from me

After therapy with me, clients will have a toolkit on how to deal with their presenting problems, understand why and how their problems affect their mental health, and understand the psychoeducation and social-cultural issues surrounding their mental and behavioral health issues. Clients will also be empowered to set boundaries, make decisions, identify and communicate unmet needs, and better understand themselves.
