Great to meet you!

You may be the person everyone counts on, and still need a place where you can lean on someone, too.

I'm Hilda, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut and specialized training in EMDR therapy. I help adults navigate anxiety, stress, life's challenges, and life transitions. My approach creates space for your culture, values, and personal story while supporting resilience, self-understanding, and meaningful growth.

Together, we'll explore what may be holding you back, develop healthier ways of coping, and work toward meaningful change.

I offer individual telehealth therapy in English and Spanish, so you can express yourself in the language that feels most natural, without having to search for the perfect words.

Aquí puedes ser tú.

My approach to therapy

We'll start with what matters most to you: what feels hard, what keeps repeating, and what you'd like to be different.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and respectful of your pace. Together, we'll explore your experiences and identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will develop practical strategies to help you manage overwhelming emotions, set healthy boundaries, and feel more connected to yourself.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful growth. We'll build on your strengths, increase awareness of unhelpful patterns, and practice new ways of responding to life's challenges. When appropriate, I incorporate EMDR therapy to help you work through distressing experiences that may still be affecting your present.

Your voice helps shape our work, and we'll regularly check in about what's helping, what's not, and what may need to shift along the way.

What you can expect from me

You don't need to rehearse your story or know exactly where to begin. "I'm not sure how to explain it" is a perfectly good place to start.

Our first session is a chance to talk about what's been going on, how it's affecting you, and what you'd like to change. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and current challenges, and I'll explain how we might work together based on your goals.

You decide how much you are ready to share, and there is no pressure to tell your whole story at once. Together, we'll begin identifying what's most important to focus on and discuss practical next steps that feel manageable and meaningful to you.

Most importantly, our first session is an opportunity for you to decide whether this is the next step you'd like to take. There will be space for your questions, and we'll talk about what you're looking for in therapy so you can decide whether we're a good fit. Whether we are speaking English, Spanish, or moving between both, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
