Great to meet you!

I’m bilingual in Japanese and English and bring a multicultural lens to my work with individuals and couples. I work with clients who are navigating trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional disconnection, or patterns they understand intellectually but have difficulty changing. Therapy is a process of building emotional, mental, and physiological safety; exploring how your experiences have shaped the way you relate to yourself, others, and the world; processing unresolved emotions; and moving toward becoming more whole.

My approach to therapy

I integrate Somatic Experiencing®, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, Gestalt Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and the Gottman Method into my work. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and body-based, with attention to how emotional experiences can affect both the mind and nervous system. I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will begin by getting to know what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what has or has not been helpful in the past. We will also begin exploring how your experiences may be affecting you emotionally, mentally, physically, and relationally. Life includes both surviving and thriving, but living in survival mode can leave little space for joy, playfulness, and experiencing the fullness of life. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can feel safe enough to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and begin moving toward greater healing, connection, and wholeness.
